Chance has been busy...... and we've learned alot.
Chance went for this three year check up, had his teeth cleaned, and everything looked good.
two weeks later he was laying around acting lethargic, called the Doctor, and continued to observe him. swelling started to develop on that darn left cheek - AGAIN!! I noticed that base of the tooth was discolored. Ends up that during the blunting process this summer, and Chance's desire to chew on everything broke what there was of protective enamel. therefore leading to a trip to K state and Dr West, and a dental team.
Xrays showed infection in the root of the left upper canine tooth, which I already guessed. the tooth was dead, and the other three canine's had a very thin layer of enamel. I was referred to a specialist in Kansas City. appt scheduled on the 1st of December. so we continue the antibiotic until that appointment. thats a long time on amoxicillian - thank god he likes to take it as well and the ibuphrophen for inflamation.
